abreko Journal
The Perspective

Behind the Journal.

abreko Journal was established to document what the nutritional research actually says about everyday supplementation habits for active men — without the amplification that characterises most supplement marketing.

01 — About

The Publication

abreko Journal is an independent editorial publication exploring everyday supplementation habits, nutritional awareness, and active lifestyle choices for men. The publication is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body.

The editorial approach emerged from a specific observation: published nutritional research on men's supplementation is extensive, but the gap between what the research shows and what supplement marketing claims remains wide. abreko Journal occupies that gap — not as a supplement advocacy platform, but as a documentation of what the research consistently supports, what it is inconclusive about, and what it does not support at all.

Each issue addresses a specific area of men's daily nutritional habits — vitamins, minerals, performance nutrients, whole-food balance — through the lens of published nutritional research and the practical experience of active men. The editorial voice is observational rather than prescriptive, informed rather than promotional.

Marcus Webb

"The honest editorial position on supplementation is that most of what the research supports is gradual, contextual, and conditional on what you are already doing with food and physical output."

Marcus Webb has spent over a decade writing about nutrition, active lifestyle habits, and the intersection of everyday routine with published nutritional research. Based across Southeast Asia and the Indonesia, his editorial practice focuses on documenting what active men actually do with their supplement routines — and what the published research says about those choices.

His background spans editorial writing for independent wellness publications, contributions to international nutritional awareness platforms, and independent research into published studies on micronutrient intake and physical performance. He does not hold commercial relationships with supplement brands and has maintained this position since the publication's founding.

The editorial model at abreko Journal is straightforward: articles begin with a research question drawn from the reader community or from a gap in the nutritional literature, are drafted with reference to published peer-reviewed sources where available, reviewed by a second editor before publication, and corrected publicly if errors are identified after publication.

Webb is supported by a small editorial team and a roster of contributing writers, including Budi Santoso, whose work focuses on supplement stacking habits and nutritional awareness for active men across Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

05 — Editorial Independence

Independent by Design

abreko Journal carries no paid product placements, affiliate arrangements, or sponsored editorial content. No supplement brand funds, influences, or reviews content before publication. The editorial team maintains this independence as a structural principle, not a policy.

When writers discuss specific supplements or nutrient categories, the selection is editorially driven by the published research landscape and by questions raised by active men in the journal's readership — not by commercial relationships.
